The questions we field most often. If yours is not here, reach out before registration closes and we will sort it out.

What if nobody else signs up for my division?

We hunt for the closest fair matchup we can find. That usually means shifting you into a neighboring age group, belt level, or weight class so you still get to compete.

If we genuinely cannot pair you with anyone, you pick the outcome... credit toward a future tournament, or your entry fee refunded.

Will I get more than one match?

That is the whole reason we build brackets the way we do. Based on how many athletes land in your division we run best of three, round robin, or a modified double elimination bracket. Nobody drives home after a single match.

Are heel hooks legal in no-gi?

Only in the Expert no-gi brackets. Every other no-gi division is heel hook free.

How long are the kids matches?

Regulation time by age bracket:

U7 ... 3 minutes
U10 ... 3 minutes
U13 ... 4 minutes
U16 ... 4 minutes
